Black Women’s March

To march is to dream in motion. In 2015, more than 100,000 Black women marched to Brasília against racism, violence, and for Bem Viver (Well-being).They didn’t ask for space, they occupied it.They didn’t ask for a voice, they made themselves heard.

The Black Women’s March was, and continues to be, a historic milestone in the leadership of Black Brazilian women, a living expression of struggle, spirituality, and collective dreaming.

In 2025, this call is renewed. To march is to remember that democracy only flourishes when it recognizes the voices that sustain it.To march is to reject inequality, to affirm the right to live with dignity, freedom, and care.

Bem Viver (Well-being) is more than a motto. It is a philosophy rooted in Afro-Brazilian, Indigenous, and Latin American wisdoms that teaches us to balance life in community, to respect nature, and to center care and justice. It is a political project for the future, where development is not measured in numbers but in lives worth living. Fully lived.

To march is to dream together. It is to transform pain into power, and ancestry into direction.I invite all women to walk with us.
